gnucash 1.8.x on solaris8

gnome-config is part of the gnome-libs package (or more likely the
gnome-libs-devel package).  There are a few issues with the build
process on Solaris, but it does work (I've built 1.8.0, 1.8.2, and
just this week 1.8.4 on Solaris 5.8 and 5.9).  Just make sure you have
all the -devel packages installed.
