[gnucash-user] Gnucash doesn't start and eats up CPU...

I've tried to compile Gnucash 1.8.1. First I got all the libs
(openhbci, libofx, etc, etc) and ran into no problem. Only g-wrap and
gnucash remained... I'm compiling on SuSE 8.1, the whole Gnome 1.4
environment is installed (including the -devel packages).

The compilation went fine for everyone, but when I launch Gnucash, it
just sits here, nothing appears and there is a "gnucash" process eating
up 98% of my CPU... I've never been able to get anything else.
Of course I started clean, having removed all files from previous
Gnucash versions.

The only issue I had during compilation (but I don't know whether it's
really a problem) was with g-wrap: the ./configure refused to build
shared libraries, only static ones. I let it go and Gnucash seemed to
be OK with that...

I had a small discussion with James Ogley (usr-local-bin.org) who told
me it could be related to g-wrap 1.3.4 and that version 1.3.5 could
solve it. Is it true? If so, when is this release due?
