Printing Custom Format Checks

I want to use a custom format to print checks.  I enter the dimensions 
in the "Custom Format" tab of the "Print Checks" dialog window, 
everything works fine.  I can print another check and the settings 
are still there.  If I close GnuCash, and open it again, all the 
dimensions are reset to zero.

Is there a way to change the default dimension to something other than 
zero?  If not, is there a way to change the "Quicken Format"
