[Ray Salemink]

Here's what I get when I type ./configure


checking for ltdl.h... no
configure: error: Cannot find ltdl.h -- libtool-devel not installed?

When I type "whereis libtool-devel" it responds with:
libtool-devel:
It doesn't find ltd;.h or ltdl.

Well, what is failing?  Is it still complaining about libtool-devel?
Is it failing to find libltdl?  I have no clue what package mandrake
distributes that provides this library....  Red Hat distributes it in
the libtool and libtool-devel package....

OH, another thing is that you will have to remove the old (1.6)
gnucash and g-wrap and then upgrade to g-wrap 1.3.4 before building
gnucash 1.8.  but it sounds like you're having more basic build
environment issues....
