Trouble with Gnucash 1.8.2 install

Derek:
I downloaded gnome-print-0.36-3mdk.i586.rpm and typed rpm. the response was 
that gnome-print is already installed, found it in /usr/share
Teh version is 0.2. Gnucash seem to indicate it wanted 0.21 +>. Do I need to 
remove the present gnome-print and install the new one? I could not find a 
gnome-print on the rpmfind.net website, just 0.20 and 0.22 and up.

Is there a way I can contribute something to this project, for all the help

What you did wrong was run automake after running configure.
After you run configure, just run "make".  And then "make install"
