See my earlier post(March 26th) about 'Installing Gnucash on OS X - Solution.'

Basically, install Apple dev tools(should be on the HD,or install 
CD),install Apple X-11.Install Fink.Set Fink to use unstable 
packages(see the Fink FAQ),then type 'Fink install gnucash' into 
Terminal.If you on on a dial-up modem,wait another 20 hours for the 
download to complete!A cable modem is a real plus point here!
Downloading just the Gnucash.tar.gz file does not work - it needs a 
lot of dependant files/apps to compile/install.I have the full set of 
Debian install CD's, but these cant be used either.
