OFX/QFX copy from bank

In obtaining information from my bank, why are ofx/qfx file copy edited?

 For example the bank will show a debit from ABC Company of $10.25. Gnucash  lists a bank draft of $10.25.

Is it possible to copy exact bank information to gnucash?
