sql support problems

I rebuilt my Debian testing deb with sql support and was delighted when
it seemed to work. However there were a large number of sql errors, and
all the test data I had imported failed to stay in the db as the
transaction failed to commit.

Nov 6 15:27:45 roz postgres[31846]: [15] ERROR: ExecInsert: rejected due to CHECK constraint "gncaccount_commodity" on "gncaccount"
Nov 6 15:29:05 roz postgres[31846]: [16] ERROR: current transaction is aborted, queries ignored until end of transaction block
Nov 6 15:29:05 roz postgres[31846]: [17] ERROR: current transaction is aborted, queries ignored until end of transaction block
Nov 6 15:31:07 roz postgres[31846]: [18] LOG: pq_recvbuf: unexpected EOF on client connection
Nov 6 15:31:23 roz postgres[32258]: [1] LOG: connection received: host=[local]
Nov 6 15:31:23 roz postgres[32258]: [2] LOG: connection authorized: user=rory database=cash

Also, I was unable to rename accounts.

Are people experiencing similar problems? I'm keen to use postgres as I
am familiar with it, and I would expect to be able to write some basic
output psql functions to help construct sensible csv/excel files direct
from the database.

I am running postgres 7.3.2, gnucash 1.8.7-4.

Cheers,
Rory
