Problems importing 1.4.9 data into 1.8.7

Yes, it did...  It was reported..  It hasn't been fixed.  I have no clue
when it broke, or how, but I've had little incentive to do much about it,
as 1.4 is like 4 years old and 1.6 has been around for a LONG time and,
well, people should upgrade ;)
