Is anybody on this list using GnuCash in countries that have a VAT or GST,
e.g. United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and doubtless many in
Europe of which I am ignorant?

Have you managed to set up GC to generate the appropriate
monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/yearly VAT/GST returns for submitting your
tax payments or refund claims?

(For those who haven't got a VAT/GST system, you must charge your customers
a sales tax calculated as a percentage of the value of goods or services.
As you are also paying sales tax on goods and services you purchase
yourself, you are able to deduct tax paid from tax collected and send your
tax authority payment for the difference. Naturally you have to keep a good
audit trail and transaction records to support your returns if the tax
authority decides you should be audited.)

Regards,
Hedley
