It will if the Mac OSX user uses apt because, IIRC, apt will use the 
same package databases.

The 1.5.2-4 release didn't fix the problem with 1.5.2-2

All I've found is this:

The only change that occurred between those releases was dropping
RTLD_GLOBAL from the dlopen() flags.
