way to download account statements from bank, easily?

Hi,
First, a thank you to all who have helped make 
Gnucash great.  Now, I would like to 
create/download a script that uses wget or an 
alternative to download the qfx files from my 
banking websites.  Here is how I would like it to 
work:
run the script which contains a list of my banks' 
login pages and it displays the first site and 
requests a username and password.  I give those 
and the script downloads the latest qfx file for 
the account and continues with the next bank.  Is 
this possible?  Can I use wget or is there a Perl 
library to simplify this?
