Uh, bad advice alert.  You should never use --nodeps unless you really
know what you're doing.  The dependencies exist for a REASON, and
ignoring them will USUALLY get you into trouble.

It's worse than this -- if you have the wrong version of guile, or
gtkhtml, or guppi, or whatever, gnucash _just wont work_.
