Yes, but what are the allowable values of the TRNSTYPE field? Is the format
of DATE standardized? What is the CLASS fields used for. IIF files don't
have the same fields defined at the top of the file. There are several
variants of the IIF format with different columns depending on the type of
data represented, which column can we expect to always be present? Is it
possible that several formats could be sent in a single file (accounts and
transactions for example? If so, do we expect a new copy of the headers to
parse, or are they all non-overlaping?
People seem to be under the impression that because they can download a so
called "IIF file" from their bank, all IIF files are the same and represent
the same kind of data. Obviously they are not.
Yes, we can probably reverse engineer it from the exambles in your previous
message, but it will be time consuming and error prone at best, especially
without a copy of quickbooks to verify.
