Gnucash manual

Before I try to track down the "gnucash-docs" package, does it include
instructions for creating reports. I recall a while back I investigated
how to create reports, and found multiple references that I would have
to download from cvs and in that would be a file that would explain how
to do it. cvs? I know what it is, but I decided it was easier to write a
program to convert the xml junk to good old csv-format, (then read the
csv-format to generate reports in perl), then to learn how/what I would
need to download something from cvs. 

So, is the doc on how to create reports still hiding in cvs, or is it in
the gnucash-docs? 

(btw, I also looked at the existing reports, and after reading the
comments in them, I knew less than I did before reading them.)
