Thanks Derek

 I understand that. :-)
Maybe I wasn't clear enough .
I've got my data file on my ( backed up) /home. It's in a directory called
cash.
When I open this I get heaps of files and some of them are called bpmowing
( my business files). I start up Gnucash , put the path in to bpmowing and up
come my accounts.
When I put in a path to my personal account , I get an error that the file
doesn't exist, so I figured I must have put something in there when I first
started with Gnucash, what I cannot remember. (maybe a comma or dot by
mistake)
So my question is, are there any files in my backup what will show up this
path?
