Loading saved data

  I am running GnuCash 1.8.7  on Xandros ver. 2.4.22-x1

  When I start Gnucash an click on 'OPEN' to load saved data, I get a 
list of '.log' files which I presume are the saved data. When I select a 
file to load I get an error message-----  This file/url appears to be 
from a newer version of GnuCash. You must up upgrade your version of 
GnuCash to work with this data.------
   I loaded this version from Xandros Network thinking that it would 
work with this O/S.
   Very impressed with program and intend to get De-Lux ver. when I get 
the presant one working properly.
