Copying Report Settings

I recently moved my gnucash file so that other users will be able to
access it. When I started up gnucash, though, all my report settings
were suddenly missing. I finally found the settings in files at
~/.gnucash/books and ~/.gnome/GnuCash and copied these from my old
filename to the new. Now things  seem to work.

But now I'm a little worried -- is this going to cause me any
problems or is that a fine way to copy the report settings?
