OT - calculating credit-card interest/APR

Nearly all credit cards compound interest daily. The interest rate tends 
to vary, as well.

I have not seen a mortgage calculator that handles daily compounding.
Mortgage interest typically compounds monthly.

The monthly $88.85 figure seems too small.

gives a result that seems like it's closer to what it should be.

If you have a spreadsheet you should be able to work it out on that.
