The two are just very, very different. This is to be the first release of the
Gnome2 port and it's taken so long because so many things have been changed.

Some of the strings probably remain but I can't say how many. There are
certainly lots of new strings to translate.
I'd recommend you wait until gnucash is closer to a gnome2 release.
