printing problem

I tried to print out a balance sheet report and it wouldn't print.
Selected all and pasted to gedit and it printed fine, so it wasn't a
printer problem.

I'm using gnucash 1.8.12 with Fedora Core 4 and a Brother HL-1440
printer. As nearly as I can tell, the print jobs never get to CUPS, as
they don't show up either as pending or completed jobs.
