Quite long in that case. I'm wondering if there is much to do
again when there will be a gtk-3 one day. Probably not. I 'love'
gtk... I also much prefer C to C++.

I can't see the answer to my question so, really.

So, what is the big advantage of the using gnome-libraries. I
mean there must be some advantages. One advantage is that it
suits better into the gnome-desktop, so. Are there also
advantages for not-gnome users? Or what kind of advantages has
gnu-cash what gimp lacks in that area?

You need to know. I'm somebit minimalistic, and the less
libraries the better, unless there are good reasons..., that is
my personal opinion.

cheers
