crash on custom account summary report

I open gnucash, and then first thing I try to go to Reports->Custom- 
 >Account Summary.  It hangs for a 10-20 seconds, then crashes.  In  
the past I have successfully used an Account Summary report, so I  
don't know why this is happening, but it's a bummer, cause I kinda  
need this report.
