Importing OFX/QFX files not working

I've downloaded from my bank transactions in both OFX and QFX format and
when I import either file, I get an empty list of transactions.  I've looked
at the files and there appear to be transactions in them.  see:

<STMTTRN>
        <TRNTYPE>CHECK
        <DTPOSTED>20060130
        <TRNAMT>-4.89
        <FITID>37379972
        <CHECKNUM>2006
        <NAME>CHECK
        <MEMO>CHECK
</STMTTRN>

Am I missing something?
