   We can all come up with better analogies, and try to explain the benefits
of double-entry bookkeeping, but that's not what Leslie wants. If the need
is strictly for a digital version of the paper register, then the Python
Checkbook Manager <http://pycheckbook.sourceforge.net/> is probably a better
solution.

   No one wants to force anyone to do bookkeeping/accounting a better way.
When there's resistance to learning new things, just stand aside.
