Configure Error

I am not sure how I resolve this discrepancy for GLib.  Any help would

How did you install glib?
  

   The version supplied with my distribution was out of date.  I installed 2.12
   from source.  I then downloaded the latest package (2.10.3) from Slackware
   and installed using its pkgtool.

Which version does your package management system report as installed?
  

   2.10.3

What distro are you using?
  

   Slackware 10.2
