Installing finance::quote

libfinance-quote-perl is a package name, not a program name.  Does that
package include a script called "stockdump.pl".  Can you find the
finance-quote-check or dump-finance-quote programs that come with
gnucash?

Fails how?  Does gnucash let you specify quote information for a stock?
Does it let you press the "Get Quotes" button?  What happens then?  Have
you run gnucash in a terminal window and looked for output.  Tried
running gnucash with the --debug switch.  It is impossible to remotely
diagnose a problem when the complete problem description is "it fails".
