Can't run any reports

Odd..

You may need to run gconfd-1 by hand before running gnucash.  I don't
know why it's not starting on its own.  But try:

  gconfd-1 &
  ps auxww | grep gconfd
  gnucash &

See if that helps?  Check the FAQ -- this is in there.
