Still cannot compile 1.9.6

I wish I knew what to tell you.  I just tried building on FC5 and
it worked fine for me.  Off a core install I had to install:

  g-wrap-devel
  goffice-devel
  libtool-ltdl-devel
  gtkhtml3-devel

After this, gnucash built fine for me.  Granted, I started from SVN and
not the tarball..  I can try the tarball later, but I think this is
your system and not GnuCash.

Did you attempt to install any gnucash dependencies NOT via yum?  I.e.,
did you try to install any dependencies by hand?
