Geometry Problems -- *Negative* screen placement of windows

I don't know WHY it does it, or HOW TO FIX IT, but when it happens it's
easy to work around,... just put the mouse pointer somewhere within the
visible portion of the window, press and hold ALT then left-click-drag
the window to where you want it.
