Hi,
Could be that I'm hooking up to a long since passed-away thread (Oct 2006),
but I faced similar problems:
The help overview and guide thingies did not work for me either when running
2.0.2 on Open SUSE 10.2. From the plain distro with both KDE and GNOME
installed.
I got it working after following steps:
Downloaded and installed gnucash-docs from
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/noarch/gnucash-docs-2.0.1-7.noarch.rpm
Sorry for the lack of elegance here.
This puts the gnucash doc tree directory in
/usr/share/gnome/help
As indicated in the thread history, there is nobody to find it there... And as
also indicated, the gnome help system should be able to.
Well:
$whoami
root
$pwd
/opt/gnome/share/gnome/help
$ln -s /usr/share/gnome/help gnucash
And the help functionality works fine.
Hope this helps too. Cheers
Joost.
