File Format Issue

Not necessary to hand edit the data file. At least on Linux. 

Go to the main account tab. For each account in the tree under the "root
account" go to "edit account" and in the "parent account" scroll box
change whatever it is to "new top level account" (at the top of the
scroll). This will move the account and all of it's sub-accounts to top
level. Do this only for accounts you want to be new top-level accounts
(which they used to be). 

This will fix both auto-complete and the registry enteries without
having to hand tool each line. 

If you do that for all of the accounts under "root account" you can,
once it is completely empty, delete the account "root account" without
ill effect. 

As always, try it on a backup, first.
