Problem building 2.2.1 on Kubuntu 7.04

As above. 2.2.0 installed successfully. I am attempting to upgrade to
2.2.1 The configure step completes without error, but make abends with
the following:

/usr/local/lib/libgnc-backend-file-utils.so.0: undefined reference to
`xaccSchedXactionSetFreqSpec'
/usr/local/lib/libgnc-backend-file-utils.so.0: undefined reference to
`xaccFreqSpecFree'
/usr/local/lib/libgnc-backend-file-utils.so.0: undefined reference to
`xaccFreqSpecMalloc'
/usr/local/lib/libgnc-backend-file-utils.so.0: undefined reference to
`xaccFreqSpecSetUIType'
/usr/local/lib/libgnc-backend-file-utils.so.0: undefined reference to
`xaccFreqSpecGetUIType'
