I am not an accountant but I am completely unfamiliar with that term.
A quick Google search indicated a few things in European financial
markets, as well as an investment term that indicates a non-financial
concept (basically, how "ethical" an investment happens to be).

Could you post back to the list indicating what country you are in, as
well as an example. Also, is it possible that rather that instead of
"Propriety" you meant to write "Proprietary"?
