Investment totals not showing

I got the prices to appear by using current pricing in the Price Editor.
Originally I used the same pricing as the initial pricing which, apparently,
doesn't trigger the total price feature. I'm using version 1.8.12 on Ubuntu.
I know there is a more recent version but I'm nervous about fouling my data
by updating.
