cleared transactions and reconcile window (again)

Hi All

This is really annoying me!

Step 1- at the ledger choose any non cleared transaction (marked 'n')
Step 2- click on transaction 'R' field so it reads 'c' (cleared)
Step 3- open reconcile window.

The transaction you 'cleared' should appear with the green 'tick' at the
'R` column stating it was cleared previously. BUT IT DOES NOT in my
installation.

It used to work a few weeks ago.

I verified that I have 'Check cleared transaction' turned ON at
Preferences/Register/Reconciling (is this of any help?)

GC is 2.0.1 (package from http://gsb.freerock.org/ 
		built from r14585 on 2006-08-13 - whatever this means)
Slackware 10.2 (with Freerock Gnome 2.14.3 extension)

Is there any debug option to trace this?
