cleared transactions and reconcile window (again)

More on the subject!

I created a new user (adduser blablabla).
Run gnucash for the first time for this user and accepted all defaults GC
offered me.

I then repeated the "cleared transaction steps" and, voilà!!! The cleared
transaction flag appeared in the reconcile window.

This, I think, confirm my suspects that there is something inside my
config files that prevents GC to work as expected.

Any comments??
