Hi Kevin,

You are more than welcome. I am just pleased that I can help someone in 
return for all the help I have received on this list.

Unfortunately the  rpmbuild -tb [tarball] doesn't work on all 
applications (due to crap spec files) but it works very well on Gnucash.

The developers of Gnucash have obviously made sure that the tarball 
contains a properly done spec file. My sincere thanks to the developers.

Must save the developers a lot of trouble building binary .rpm packages 
for all the rpm based distributions. The user can easily build their own 
binary .rpm package and also a .src.rpm package if they want one.
