Hello -

I am using gnucash 2.0.5 on FreeBSD-6 as built from the ports collection.
For many months (years?) I have successfully used the import mechanism for
qfx files. A couple of months ago this stopped working, soon after
upgrading from 2.0.4 to 2.0.5. Today I finally got around to trying to
figure out why. I have not succeeded in figuring out why, but I do know
more symptoms, that I am hoping others may be able to point me in a
direction as to the cause.

I began my work by compiling from source, aqbanking, libofx and gnucash.
Running gnucash seems to work in all aspects except importing qfx. When
gnucash is run from a terminal, the following is shown:

$ gnucash

(gnucash:64423): Gdk-WARNING **: shmget failed: error 12 (Cannot allocate
memory)
gnucash: [M] "Found Finance::Quote version ""1.13"
LibOFX INFO: libofx_proc_file(): File format not specified, autodecting...
(Above message occured on Line 4294967295, Column 4294967295)

(bug-buddy:64427): Gdk-WARNING **: shmget failed: error 12 (Cannot
allocate memory)

** (bug-buddy:64427): WARNING **: Failed to connect to the FAM server:
(null)
"/usr/local/bin/gnucash": not in executable format: File format not
recognized
Killed: 9

Running the ofxdump utility on files I have attempted importing shows no
problems, e.g. they parse fine. Furthermore, I can run ofx2qif and
successfully import the qif file.

What more can a non-scheme programmer do to try to find the cause and
solution to this?

- Marc
