There have been a couple mentions of how the register doesn't show the
preedit string when inputing languages that do preediting (at least
for SCIM/UIM. I don't know about skkinput). Turning off displaying the
pre-edit string and showing it in a floating windows has generally
worked for people in the past as a workaround.

As the problems I'm aware of involving Gnucash and Japanese input
involve the register (other gtk2 dialogs and widgets work fine) I'm
not sure if quickfill is really the problem.

The problem should be at least revisited and addressed in the register rewrite.
