Problem retrieving stock quotes

I'm just having a very similar problem. My Get Quotes used to work, but
failed in the last week or two. Having read this thread, I have tried
the various installs of perl modules, but with no success. When I try to
install either of Date::Manip or HTML::TableExtract, it says they are
up-to-date. How do I force a re-install?

# perl -MCPAN -e 'install Date::Manip'
CPAN: Storable loaded ok
Going to read /root/.cpan/Metadata
  Database was generated on Fri, 01 Jun 2007 23:09:37 GMT
Date::Manip is up to date.

The debug messages I get out of gnucash look like this:

gnucash: [D] (handling-request ("yahoo_europe" "LMC.L"))
gnucash: [D] (results #f)
gnucash: [D] (handling-request ("uk_unit_trusts" "Fidelity American
Special" "Invesco Perp Jap Small" "New Star European Growth" "Rathbone
Smaller Cos" "Artemis UK Growth" "Aberdeen UK Growth" "Newton Oriental"))
gnucash: [D] (results #<eof>)
gnucash: [D] (handling-request ("europe" "LOG.L" "NRK.L" "VOD.L"))

And that's it, even though I actually have far more funds in my accounts
than just these ones.

Any ideas?

PS - if anyone has a login account on the GnuCash wiki, then could they
please adjust the answer here (http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/FAQ) under
question "How do I fix a system error when getting stock quotes", to
emphasise that you need to run 'gnucash --debug' (two dashes) instead of
just 'gnucash -debug'...
