Updates

I am using GNUCash with Ubuntu. The installed version is 2.0.2 but your
web site shows 2.1.4 as the latest release. Running Synaptic manager
under Ubuntu shows 2.0.2 as the latest version. I presume that is
because the Ubuntu developers have not added your later versions to
their update site. 

Can I update direct from your site and if so which version would you
recommend? Also I am new to Linux and would appreciate advice as to how
to go about this if it is possible.
