Thanks for the tip! I tried to build GnuCash with that patch but haven't 
succeeded so far.

So I realized that it might also work for the time being to change the 
default currency from the system local (SEK) to EUR when I work with that 
specific GnuCash file.

Is there a way to set a specific environment variable for the default 
currency? I like to create a second batch file that I can use when I open 
this specific file. I tried to set LANG=de_DE. That gave me a nice German 
user interface but did not change the local currency.
