Can you print to a pdf from gnucash and look at the pdf file with a pdf 
viewer?  Then print the pdf?  This seems to work with a lot of 
printing problems in other programs.  If nothing else, it might settle 
the question of whether it's a problem inside the gnucash executable or 
elsewhere.
