Actually, it's pretty simple to convert a MacPorts installation of
GnuCash into an mpkg container.  If you use a hand-made installation
of MacPorts (with a non-standard prefix such as /opt/gnucash), the
result can even coexist with another MacPorts installation on the
target machine.  However, it's huge.
