HUGE problems with gnucash and Ubuntu 7.10, just released

It's the "account register", such as it described here:

http://svn.gnucash.org/docs/guide/txns-registers1.html

... that suffers from problems. Not the account window that displays the
tree structure of accounts.

As I understand it, opengl window managers use something called "double
buffering", which in essence means that each window should believe that it
is always visible, even though it may not be. This makes it possible to
switch between windows without any ugly redraws at all. Therefore, gnucash
may not be receiving refresh signals as in a usual WM. I don't know any
details, this is just an idea I got when discussing this problem with a
friend.
