HUGE problems with gnucash and Ubuntu 7.10, just released

I pulled it directly from ATI.
Installation requires some magic elixir (be responsible) and possibly a
small animal sacrifice. Were I not such a geek I'd wait a bit and see if
it shows up in repository.
Although Gnucash now works with Compiz, there are still some video
playback problems when it is enabled. I've turned it off and don't
really miss it.
