This is EXACTLY why people should be sure to reply to the list
and not to me personally. I've been away on vacation and away

Well, "rm -rf /usr/local" would be good.. But it might remove
other things you've installed. Unfortunately at this point
you've already pointed the gun at your feet AND pulled the
trigger, so it's just a question of how much additional collateral
damage you're willing to inflict upon yourself....
