budget report questions

Thanks for the answers Chris.

I copied budget.scm, and internally named the report to something  
else, restarted gnucash, but then gnucash didn't start up, so I had  
to remove the ~/.gnucash/saved-reports-2.0 file, as well as the new  
file. How should I test my changes without causing problems like this?
