Openoffice cross-dependency?

I've just upgraded OpenOffice.org from 2.2 to 2.3(*) and was somewhat 
startled to see the installer complain that it couldn't complete until I 
closed GnuCash.

I've since reopened GnuCash and all seems to be well, but is there a 
known cross-dependency?

(*) in the hope that it might be able to read a MSExcel-2007 file that 
someone sent me. No, it can't.
